Channel Theory for User-Interactions in Constraint Satisfaction and Design

چکیده
There are two sorts of constraint satisfaction problems. One is abstract, like solving mathematical equations, and the other is real, like designing an artifact satisfying requirements. We need to represents real constraints by abstract ones when we use CSP’s in the real problems. This is not a easy task, and user-interactions are inevitable in order to adjust the constraints and to solve the real problem properly. In this paper, by applying a mathematical theory of information flow by Barwise and Seligman called Channel Theory, we propose a formal model of user-interactions in constraint satisfaction problems in order to analyze the phenomena about the interactions in an abstract way, and show an application of the model to a formal theory of design.

Power Control and Scheduling For Low SNR Region in the Uplink of Two Cell Networks
In this paper we investigate the sub-channel assignment and power control to maximize the total sum rate in the uplink of two-cell network. It is assumed that there are some sub-channels in each cell which should be allocated among some users. Also, each user is subjected to a power constraint. The underlying problem is a non-convex mixed integer non-linear optimization problem which does not h...
متن کاملNext Generation Wireless Lan System Design
An important issue in the widespread deployment of infrastructure based wireless local area networks (WLANs) is the network design. In this paper, we propose a new WLAN design approach that focuses on assuring sufficient data rate capacity to meet expected user demand in the coverage area, while still satisfying signal coverage and interference level requirements. Noting the low cost of WLAN ac...

The present research article relates to the discovery of the novel drugs based on Zonisamide to treatment of autism disease. In first step, the electronic properties, reactivity and stability of the said compound are discussed. To attain these properties, the said molecular structure is optimized using B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level of theory at room temperature. The frontier molecular orbitals (FMO...
متن کاملRevising in the relationship of social behavior and urban space within Islamic Vision (the concept of ideal user and his territory in original Islamic texts)
Identifying ideal user is a basic function of theoretical debates of urban design. Here, the situation of the concept of” Ideal user” is enquired in three main categories of social theories used in urban design discourses (i.e. socialistic theories, ecologistic ones and performance-based theories) and it is shown that none of them is of enough relevance to Islamic model of socio-spatial relati...
متن کاملRecognition of Users' Activities Using Constraint Satisfaction
Ideally designed software allow users to explore and pursue interleaving plans, making it challenging to automatically recognize user interactions. The recognition algorithms presented use constraint satisfaction techniques to compare user interaction histories to a set of ideal solutions. We evaluate these algorithms on data obtained from user interactions with a commercially available pedagog...
